Practicing the Pause
“Practicing the pause” means intentionally creating a small space between a trigger and your response—instead of reacting automatically, you choose how to respond.
At its core, it’s about awareness + choice.
🌿 What it looks like in real life
Someone says something upsetting → instead of reacting instantly, you pause, breathe, and observe
You feel overwhelmed → instead of spiraling, you slow down and ground yourself
You’re about to make a decision → you step back and check in with yourself first
🧠 Why it matters
Without a pause, we operate on:
Habits
Emotional reactions
Old patterns
With a pause, you access:
Clarity
Intuition
Conscious choice
It’s the difference between reacting from the past vs. responding from the present.
✨ Simple way to practice it
You don’t need anything complicated:
Notice → “Something just got activated in me”
Breathe → slow inhale + slow exhale
Name it → “I feel triggered / rushed / emotional”
Choose → “How do I want to respond here?”
Even a 3-second pause can completely shift an outcome.
🌌 In my healing/QHHT space
This concept becomes even more powerful:
It’s the space where subconscious patterns can be observed instead of acted out
It’s where clients move from autopilot to awareness
It opens the doorway to the quantum field of choice rather than repetition
You could even frame it as:
“The pause is where healing enters.”
💙 A gentle reframe
Practicing the pause isn’t about suppressing emotions—it’s about honoring them without letting them drive the car.
The magic is in the Pause. Practicing the Pause is a gift to ourselves.
The insights and knowledge are in the pause. Compassion and empathy are there also. It is ok to slow down and reflect. I can be your guide. It is my joy to be there. Be here now.
Later will take care of itself. It always does.
